“Always remember the three A’s of success: availability, amiability, and ability.”

Hello! My name is Jeffrey. It’s great to meet you.

About

By the time I graduated high school I knew beyond all doubt I was driven and goal-oriented, but I just didn’t know what that meant as far as picking a major, let alone a career. First things first. I stumbled into Urban Studies and Planning after a particularly riveting course exploring the work of Jane Jacobs in The Death and Life of Great American Cities. I became fascinated by the influence of the built environment on our health and happiness. Why are certain cities associated with having a wonderful sense of place and culture while others seem perpetually relegated to the realm of “what-could-have-been” unrealized potential? What are the specific design elements of neighborhoods that affect our interactions with them, and how can designers of the built environment apply that knowledge for the good of all?

After college I plied my learnings in the world of city planning consulting for a number of years before realizing that I wanted a more nimble experience. I wanted the opportunity to design for citizens/clients/users at a faster clip, unencumbered by borders, and untethered from stifling bureaucracy.

Urban planning and urban design equipped me with the skills I needed to understand my stakeholders, approach problems with empathy, and focus on the details; however,

I was meant to be an architect of the digital world.

When I am not thinking about how to make digital products and tools better for my users, I am usually thinking about what challenging dinner recipe to tackle. I enjoy the pursuit of hobbies that demand commitment and dedication but rarely afford the opportunity for complete mastery, hence my passion for piano and 30-year love affair with golf. I am a consummate learner and eager team player, finding incredible satisfaction in working together with like-minded people to achieve great things.
